Weight Management is a combination of techniques and strategies that contribute to the ability to attain and maintain your healthy weight.Weight Management focuses on achieving a healthy weight through healthy eating and regular daily physical activity.My book Health and Weight Management teachings from the East to be available in April 2021 is focused on healthy weight management.Many factors contribute to weight management including healthy diet or( lack of),physical exercise and energy balance.Energy balance is key to weight management.It is the difference between the number of calories consumed and the number of calories burned in a given period of time.The calories burned comes from daily exercise and activity and your basal metabolic rate.Consuming less calories then the number of calories burned is key to weight loss.The basal metabolic rate is one of the key factors of daily energy expenditure.It is the amount of energy burned by a person at rest during a given period of time.The more lean body mass and muscle a person has the higher their basal metabolic rate.Lifting weights is an effective way to enhance your basal metabolic rate.
