Potting Plants and Your Calm Zone

What does potting plants have to do with Health and Weight Management?When you are highly stressed it is unlikely that you will adhere to your self care rituals of exercise and healthy eating.Finding a way to destress is key to your Health Management.Whether you have a garden or not ,you can still pot and care for plants.Ideally a container should have “a thriller,a spiller and a filler”.A thriller could be lily,asters or dahlias.A filler can be begonias,petunias or geraniums.A spiller could be ivy,nasturtium or alyssum.If you are planting five or six plants in one pot you will need at least an 18 inch diameter container.Smaller containers are fine for two or three plants.You can get the planting mixture in most hardware shops.After planting,water the container well,continue to check for moisture every few days.Plants brings a sense of calm to your living space.
